SAVANNAH
LEN FORKAS IS DEDICATING HIS 1ST MOUNT EVEREST STOP TO HOPECAM CHILD SAVANNAH.
Savannah loves playing video games and watching funny YouTube videos. She also loves to make art. Savannah would like to be an artist when she grows up. Having Zoom calls with her teacher and classroom so they can keep in touch is Savannah’s favorite way to use Hopecam! Hopecam has made a difference because Savannah is very excited when she gets to join in on her classroom’s morning meetings! Her teacher and classmates miss her so much, and she misses them so much, so it’s so nice for them to get to chat from time to time with the help of Hopecam!
Savannah’s best friend is Bryson. They are both 7 years old and both battling the same Medulloblastoma brain cancer. They met during their stay at the Ronald McDonald House, and they would see each other at the proton radiation center during treatments too. They are both being treated at the same hospital as well so they get to see each other there and give hugs sometimes as well! They have also kept in touch via Facebook Kids Messenger video calls most days! “Savannah has made us so proud by showing amazing strength and resilience during these treatments and continuing to keep a positive attitude and a smile on her face!”
“Dear Mr. Len - Thank you for the laptop from Hopecam! I enjoy having my laptop to be able to talk to my teacher and friends and to use it for learning programs to help me get caught up from the classes I have missed too!” - Savannah
